might as well join the fun with a brief history lesson .
I bought the golf April 2009 with the attitude of that'll do for now it was a clean car with full history and local , I was looking for a clio 172 at the time but of sick of looking at cars with some kind of issues when I saw the golf I thought got to be worth a look ,road test done nothing exciting but drove well enough so agreed a deal , during the course of conversation the prospect of mapping them came up and with the thought of an additional 50-60 hp the deal was done 3 days after picking it up it was into r-tech in Hinckley and made a healthy 210hp from the original 150 , a friend drove it a couple of weeks later and the search was on for a second one ,a bit of friendly rivalry was born . 4 months later it had its first visit to the ring still completely standard apart from the re map after that the modifications slowly started until l decided to pull it to pieces to find some more power that was 2 years ago , ill give a brief run down of spec before it came off road and then where it's heading now , I didn't care about photo's as things were starting but nows an ideal opportunity to keep it up to date .

finally running around 230 bhp
Interior / body

a/c delete
fully stripped out
2x cobra suzuka pro seats
4 point harnesses
rear spider brace and upper strut brace
so where's it heading next !
currently sat in the garage engine stripped , dm rifle drilled forged rods fitted , with a bottom end refresh oil pump bearings etc ,
head will be stripped in the next couple of weeks for inspection ,valve guides supertech exhaust valves uprated valve springs etc ,
baffled sump to build
tfsi ko4-064 turbo with antisurge compressor wheel and some porting
fmic
oil cooler
bigger injectors
3" exhaust + whatever else is needed
body and interior
cage
replace offside harness to 6 point
re locate battery
body will need some aero splitters /bgw etc
brakes and suspension will need some upgrades but not sure which way to go yet . I will update as bits get refitted
