Hi guys, Just joined and had a look through some of the track car builds on here. Some seriously impressive work going on with the different rides so kudos to everybody for that! Me and the wife bought our Mazda 323F 3 years ago and have spent those 3 years turning it into a track car with limited funds. We've recently had our first daughter so time and money are now even more limited but hoping to get some more track time in next year Quick run down of current spec, well what I remember anyway: 2.5 V6 KLDE swap from a Mazda MX6 Full stainless 2.5" zorst with OBX headers 10mm Magnecor leads & NGK Iridium plugs Whiteline front upper strut brace Whiteline rear anti roll bar Custom made rear strut brace Custom made B pillar brace & harness bar BC Coilovers Sparco sprint drivers seat with 5 point Sparco harness Mazda 6 MPS front caliper upgrade with 320mm discs EBC yellowstuff pads HEL braided brake lines all round MOTUL RBF660 fluid Honda Penta 17" with Federal 595 RS-R tyres There's so much more but I got bored reading my own list and there's loads I can't remember. Got a few other things in the pipeline for next year too including; New alloys with Federal FZ201 tyres Megasquirt standalone ecu BGW (if the wife will agree to it) More rear aero I've got quite a few videos on my youtube channel too www.youtube.com/user/lerchio21Cheers for looking Lerch

I like that. Looks like a great little car and sounds like you've done some good work with it. Turn it into a supertouring rep!

Don't see many of these around, especially as a track car!

Couple more photos off my photobucket account Back when the F was on the road alongside the wip @ Japanese Performance show 2016 Outside the inlaws house just after I added the yellow side stripes @ Japfest Silverstone 2016 after the first track session with my splitter supports failed and it fell off on track woops!

Thanks edw160! Appreciate the love. I had it on the dyno at Japanese Performance show last year and it produced 177bhp. It's still runing the old 2L KF intake manifold along with the KF ECU which restricts things a little we beleive. I'm hoping I can get the megasuirt fitted for next year and then see where we go from there. I've heard loads of different opinions about the accuracy of portible dyno's so I'm not that sure what it really produces but I wouldnt say its far off 170-180bhp. I had a 1.5 of these before and supercharged that so I'm tempted to go down the same route but money being tight I'm not sure thats feasible. I might just stick the ecu in, have a tweak and go from there. I've embarrased a few big boys out on track as it is so it's quick enough for me at the minute

Just been able to get some photos from my old photo bucket account Engine change time when we took the 2L out and fitted the 2.5L It's virtually impossible to get parts for these now especially track enhancements so I decided to build a British pillar brace which would double as a harness bar Refurbished the callipers earlier this year too This is how the engine bay currently looks And this is how she will spend the winter. I would of loved to do a few more track days this year but finances just don't allow it with the little one so I look forward to next year One last pic from last year's Jap Performance Show Cheers Lerch

Thanks edw160!
I do struggle on the faster tracks due to the lack of bhp which inevitably means I get stuck behind quicker cars in the corners/braking zones then get left behind on the straights just to repeat the cycle at the next corner lol. The other issue is weight - its not exactly the lightest car out there :/
