What's the most drastic decision people have made with there cars/builds. Wether it be buying something silly, Bordem taking over and doing something daft. I got bored and left alone with an angle grinder. So cut the front off my car Plan is to tub the arches and tube frame the front. Tubs are made just need to tube the front now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My first car was a saxophone VTR, I had wanted to put a 16v engine in from a VTS for ages but always put it off and at the time had no mechanical knowledge so my dad wasnt too happy to do it.
My driveshaft went in the middle of the severn bridge, Finally got home after being recovered to find a tax rebate on the doorstep, I found a new driveshaft for sale, along with a 16v conversion.
So instead of £50 on a driveshaft, I spent £400 on an engine conversion... with new driveshafts.
I then thought I was Colin Mcrae and wrote said car off a week later.

Mine would probably be selling my Saxo VTS track car, was a quick little thing standard but once I added a Viper induction kit and full race exhaust system it was rapid. Took it to Trax at Silverstone a couple of years ago and had quite a few people ask me about it which put a smile on my face. Then a week later I decided to sell it as it was taking up space in my mum and dads garage, really wish I hadn't now though!

probably the day I took the interior out the Puma and turned a really nice daily driver into a horrible car, my dad wasnt best pleased that all the space in his shed has been replaced with an interior... it led to slippery slope of building the car.

Selling my 964RS for what I THOUGHT at the time was a stupidly high price for one!.. Certain Porsche stuff has gone mental, a customer of mine has got a 993 GT2 which has got that valuable he's scared to drive it. He bought an m2 off me last year for fun and track days to replace it

Yeah I got 45 for mine prob worth double that now That said I used the money for a bigger house with a garage, so was the right decision at the time I have a friend with a 993 gt2rs he brought it for 110k when my house was worth 40! 😂 It's either Mexico or riviera blue (the other one va the one hat sold for like 10m or something mental last year! ) He does the PCF (Porsche club francorchamps) track weekend pretty much every year in it still now - 3 days thrashing around spa and then drives it home!!..

Probably buying a nice looked after E30 m-tec sport from a BMW master tech..... only for the thermostat to get stuck and cook the engine when I was standing outside the car chatting to a friends. Got back in and the temp gauge was well off the scale. So new rebuilt head, BMW done the work. I then spent a load on a respray as the rear arches were going. New discs/pads all round. New tyres all round. Clifford alarm...all that jazz. It was MINT. So many offers to sell it. I did. Stupid decision.
